Equipment planning / Independent Laundry Solutions

Better questions. Better decisions.

Practical answers about capacity, laundry processes, service, parts and quotations. Find a starting point, then discuss your specific site with ILS.

How should I compare rated capacities?

A model can have more than one capacity rating because manufacturers use different fill ratios. Compare the same fill ratio and textile type, then check drum volume and programme requirements. A model name alone does not establish usable throughput.

What is G-factor?

G-factor describes extraction force during spinning. It is not a percentage of energy saved. Compare the exact model’s extraction and residual-moisture data under stated test conditions, then consider the drying process.

Can I select a machine from daily laundry weight alone?

Daily dry textile weight is a useful starting point. Programme duration, loading and unloading, peak periods, textile mix and the number of machines also determine capacity. Share a typical and busy-day brief with ILS.

Prepare your equipment brief ↗
Which electrical supply does a machine require?

Read the current technical sheet for the exact model and heating configuration. Some ranges offer more than one supply arrangement. Have the site checked by an appropriately qualified person rather than assuming that a socket or voltage label is sufficient.

Find manufacturer documentation ↗
What does a pass-through barrier washer do?

A barrier washer provides separate loading and unloading sides so it can form part of a defined soiled-to-clean process. Room layout, wash programmes, staff practice and validation remain separate requirements. The machine alone does not establish textile sterility or compliance.

Are all heat-pump dryers ventless?

Do not assume that a product category establishes installation requirements. Check ventilation, condensate drainage, ambient conditions and utilities in the selected model’s current documents. Ask ILS to confirm the required configuration.

Check the exact model sheet ↗
How do I assess an energy-saving claim?

Ask for the model, load, programme, energy boundary and test conditions. Compare equivalent workloads and include washing, extraction, drying and finishing. A manufacturer’s example is not a forecast for your site.

Compare efficiency on the same basis ↗
What is important for a self-service laundry?

Discuss payment-compatible versions, customer flow, loading, peak demand, service access and the exact machine configuration. Payment options can vary within a range and must be confirmed before specification.

What helps ILS understand a machine fault?

Provide the make, model, serial number, site postcode, symptom and any displayed fault code. Note when it started and whether the equipment is still in use. Stop using equipment that appears unsafe and follow the manufacturer’s instructions; do not remove guards or attempt work on live equipment.

Send a repair enquiry ↗
Can a replacement part be identified from appearance?

Appearance can help with identification but does not establish compatibility. Send the machine make, model, serial number and the component’s part reference. ILS can discuss the correct part before supply.

Find parts and spares ↗
How often should commercial equipment be serviced?

Use the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule and discuss the actual operating hours, workload, textile mix and machine condition. There is no single service interval that can be assumed for every installation.

Discuss planned maintenance ↗
What should I ask about refurbished equipment?

Ask about the exact available unit, model and serial number, documented condition, work carried out, controls, utilities, warranty terms if offered and installation scope. Availability and condition need to be confirmed for the individual machine.

Ask about available refurbished equipment ↗
Why are equipment prices supplied by quotation?

The specification, options and site-specific delivery or installation need to be agreed together. Request a quotation that records the selected equipment and scope. Your saved project is a planning brief rather than an offer.

Start a quotation enquiry ↗
Does pallet delivery include installation?

Pallet delivery does not automatically include positioning, utility work, commissioning or removal of existing equipment. Machine delivery is priced individually and the agreed quotation confirms the scope, charges and arrangements.

Plan delivery and installation ↗
Can I ask for advice before choosing a model?

Yes. Use the enquiry form without selecting any equipment. Explain the laundry workload, available operating window, textile mix, space, utilities and what needs to work better.

Discuss a laundry project ↗
How do I share or print the equipment I am considering?

Save machines to your project, set quantities and use the share-link or proposal-print controls. Shared links contain model references and quantities only. Add business details, installation needs and notes when sending the project to ILS.
