Self-service · Launderettes

Make the customer journey work.

The load, the payment and the route through the room. Plan a self-service laundry around how customers use it and how the equipment is supported.

A practical customer experience

Think beyond the machine line-up.

Customer flow, loading space, payment-compatible configurations and daily support all belong in the equipment brief.

Payment arrangements vary by model and version. Confirm the exact machine and payment integration before assuming a range is ready for a particular installation.

Three working decisions

Load. Pay. Keep it running.

Discuss the actual customer demand and operating arrangements. Do not build a business forecast from model names alone.

  1. Plan for the busy period.

Record expected load types, peak customer periods and the proposed operating hours. Consider space for loading and waiting without guessing hourly output from rated capacity.

  2. Specify the payment arrangement.

Agree the proposed payment method and check compatibility against each exact machine version. Connectivity and payment functionality should be recorded in the quotation.

  3. Make support accessible.

Allow for filter tasks and service access in the room. Identify the site contact, fault-reporting route and arrangements to discuss with ILS.

Payment and specialist systems to discuss.

These catalogue entries cover payment and specialist systems. Washer and dryer configurations need a separate model-specific discussion.

Prepare the conversation

Describe the customer journey.

A useful brief includes the business operation and the room as well as the equipment you are considering.

  1. Proposed load types, customer demand pattern and operating hours.
  2. Room layout, customer movement, loading and waiting space.
  3. Payment methods and exact machine compatibility to confirm.
  4. Electrical, water, drain and dryer installation information where known.
  5. Access for delivery, cleaning and servicing.
  6. Operational contact, fault-reporting route and requested support scope.

Buying advice & FAQs
Is every model available with the same payment system?

No. Payment-compatible configurations vary. Check the exact model and version, plus the required integration, before specification.

Can capacity predict the number of customers served?

Rated load capacity is not a customer-throughput forecast. Programme choice, loading, availability, customer behaviour and the machine mix affect the operation.

Can I ask for advice before choosing a machine mix?

Yes. Describe your room, proposed operation and customer workload. ILS can discuss the equipment categories and the information needed for a quotation.

Planning a laundry or replacing a machine?

Tell us about your workload, your space and what needs to work better. We will come back with a clear, written quotation.
