Domus ECOTANK XL Water Recovery Tank

The Domus ECOTANK XL is a centralised water-recovery tank with 1000 litres of storage per unit. One, two or three tanks can form a system serving compatible Domus TOUCH II machines. The source lists 35–120 kg conventional washers and 27–100 kg barrier machines, with exact model connection kits to specify. Recovery storage is not a laundry load rating: plan it around the selected wash process, machines and water routes.

Tank construction and options

The tank is high-density polyethylene with an external galvanised-steel reinforcement frame. Each unit has minimum and maximum water-level sensors, and fixing holes allow floor anchoring. The feature page states no external panels, although the table uses a skinplate-furniture label; confirm the actual supplied finish. An elevated platform and machine-specific hose/accessory kits are options, with connections excluded from the bare tank.

Water and electrical connections

The exact table gives 1in water inlet and outlet, 31 mm breather and overflow/drain references, and a 230V single-phase electrical reference. The drawing calls the table’s steam-exhaust connection a breather; this does not establish steam heating. Agree pipe routes, overflow, drainage, electrical supply and cleaning access using the installation manual. The source describes connections for up to eight 35/45 kg, four 60/80 kg or three 100/120 kg washers; this is a design reference, not universal compatibility.

Load and system design

Net dimensions are 702 × 1375 × 2207 mm (width × depth × height), with 154 kg net weight. A full 1000-litre tank adds a substantial water load, so the structure and lifting plan need the filled installation load. Actual water, chemical and energy savings depend on programmes, garments and recovery practice.
