Domus HPD-8 TOUCH II HPi Heavy-Duty Heat Pump Dryer

The Domus HPD-8 TOUCH II HPi is a Heavy Professional heat-pump dryer. Its 160-litre drum is rated at 8.9 kg at 1:18 or 8 kg at 1:20. The exact HPi cabinet is 1400 mm high, rather than the 1056 mm cabinet of the conventional HPD-8. The door opening is 480 mm with its loading base 684 mm above the floor. HPi control and construction

Touch II uses a programmable 4.3-inch colour screen with more than 35 languages and display-video capability. The exact source lists reversing drum action, a frequency inverter, stainless steel drum, two dedicated lint filters and EFFICIENT DRY moisture sensing. The cabinet is grey skinplate; an AISI 304 outer casing, reverse door opening and alternative payment systems are options. Confirm connectivity, payment hardware and the supplied configuration.

Heating and site services

The source states 2.2 kW heating and 2.74 kW total electrical power. It lists no exterior fume exhaust and no cooling-water connection, but it does require condensate evacuation through a 12 mm inner-diameter hose, 2000 mm long. For longer routes, consult the installation manual. Room conditions, heat, access and the actual electrical supply still need a site assessment. The quoted 0.44 kWh/l and 8.4 kg/h are source test figures, rather than a forecast of the site’s energy cost or throughput.

Access and application

Net dimensions are 680 × 750 × 1400 mm (width × depth × height), with 165 kg net weight and a 590 mm-diameter, 585 mm-long drum. Front access is provided for the heat pump and filters. Allow for door travel, maintenance space and the condensate route. Bring textile mix, incoming moisture, peak dry-load demand and readiness times to ILS so this heat-pump model can be assessed alongside the rest of the process.
